What’s on offer?
One-to-one
vocal coaching
These are
one-hour lessons and the purpose here is to
take a singer from where they start to where
they want to be. As no two students are the
same, individual needs will be catered for.
For example, time may well be spent on
developing technique, i.e. breathing &
support, vocal texture, range etc. For
others, it may be more appropriate to focus
on performance skills, building confidence
and stage-presence. Practical issues can
also be covered like microphone/recording
techniques or repertoire building.
Generally a student will attend a session
weekly or fortnightly. It may also be
possible to attend on a more ad-hoc basis.

Up
to twenty people may attend a full day
workshop. These are real ‘Feel Good’
events. A newcomer to Total Vocal may well
start by attending a general workshop. Other
subjects covered by workshops include ‘Close
Harmony’, ‘Song writing’ and ‘Kid’s days'.

Total Vocal Shows
Periodically Total Vocal students have the
opportunity to work together as a company
and demonstrate their talent in our
spectacular and colourful showcase events.
Soloists are selected by audition from our
pool of singers. These showcases aim to
present performers of the highest possible
standard to a paying public audience.
Take to the Stage
This is
a drama society for those wishing to develop
their acting skills. Yes, that’s right – no
singing here! This group meet monthly to
explore stagecraft, improvisation and other
techniques required by the actor. A
workshop format allows just the right
balance of informality, discipline and fun
to produce some very exciting results. We
are keen to welcome newcomers.
The Parties
There is a fantastic sense of belonging
within Total Vocal, and therefore it seems
highly appropriate to hold some parties!
Some of these are after-show parties; others
are there because we feel like it. The
Christmas party is pretty much an annual
singing event now; as is the summer barbeque
when Sheridan throws open the doors to his
garden for a more decadent affair.
Studio Support
Sheridan is happy to accompany a singer into
a recording studio to help bring out the
best possible performance. There is an
unbeatable chemistry when the right
performer, right engineer & right vocal
coach combine talents – often a formula for
pure vocal magic!
Theatre
Trips
We
organise Total Vocal Theatre trips. These
are open to all students and usually a few
friends as well. We get a group discount,
making top theatre more affordable, and as
for the coach ride… well it’s not the
quietest group of people!

We are

and keen to spread the word. At
the moment we can supply T shirts & music
bags and of course that
must-have album,

& Now’.
We also supply
one of the biggest backing track catalogues
available online. Around 50,000 tracks are
available at a very hard-to-beat price. You
select the tracks and they are sent direct
to you within 2 to 3 days.
Singers Forum
The
Total
Vocal forum
is a lively and exciting online meeting
place for all those who love to sing.
Singers, songwriters, performers, in
fact, anyone with a passion for singing
and music are encouraged to join our
Total Vocal forum where they can meet
and converse with other like-minded
people. Here you can discuss ideas,
promote an event, ask for technical
advice or simply chat. In addition to
the open boards, there is a private
board, only available to Total Vocal
students, providing a safe area where
news, announcements and information,
pertinent only to Total Vocal students
can be posted.
